Might try to get to SPAC if I can finagle a ticket. My buddies just flew back from Seattle after seeing them at the Gorge. They told me that phish rocked their shit, way better than Hampton, Fenway, or Comcast center. I'm intrigued.
look for our white suby with vt plates and nobody cares you ski alta sticker, as well as a virginia tech and old school tgr stickers
^look for a grey X5 with peace sign sticker (says Alta on it when you get close), and a Save Magic VT sticker on the bike rack (Hartford).
Look for a blue Toyota with NY plates.
If you see a SAVE MAGIC T at SPAC ask for change.
anyone want to try and organize a meet up tomorrow at hartford? i dont think searching out cars will work, but im in a sliver volvo with tgr sticker on the side back window and a las lenas decal on the back.
there is free event parking close to the venue that may work or the Jai lai building that could work as a meet up point. i am going to be at the half door in hartford then try to head over to the free event parking around 4.
if anyone has a lead on a couple extra tickets for SPAC I'd be very gracious!

Downloaded the Gorge shows last night, and I"m going through them now. DAMN! Really good shit; much better then anything else I've heard from 09. Sneakin Sally> Cavern is as good as it gets!!!!!! Sounds like the good ol' days. You can hear how much fun they're having! Wish I could have been there.....
Edit: Wow, SICK Bathtub Gin, and a great ending jam for Fluff as well!! What a show, and I haven't even started listening to night two yet
I've got one extra lawn for SPAC @ face + fees if a mag needs it.
^^ excellent ^^
yeah wow is right. They totally killed it. Ghost >YEM was just readicculus!
I'll stop there cause Mr. Minor's review is all u need.

I haven't listened to it yet. Can't wait. Here 4 miles from SPAC with a shit Internet connection. Sick place though. This guy Jeff throws a great party. Keg food drinks pool ice luge camping. Basiclly killing baby manatees and breaking fragile things. So excited for tonight. Phuck yeah!
Word cpt. Glad I could help.
I am hearing alot of people say last night sucked....who was there? Thoughts?
hartford was simply sick. so fun. full out gigdown! good to meet Elevens post show in the lot (wearing his save magic mountain shirt)
I was there. I hadn't caught any other shows from this tour, so I don't have a ton of perspective. I thought the first set was kinda flat. I was psyched to hear The Sloth and Axilla, but I think that setlist looks better on paper than it was to hear it in person. Second set was pretty good and had more energy. A good Harry Hood to close and a nice encore. All in all, not bad. I've only seen about a dozen or so shows over the years going back to '98, and I'd put this one solidly middle of the pack somewhere.
Not up to par with the second day night at the Gorge, which I downloaded recently. Haven't listened to Hartford yet, but from what I understand of that show, this one was probably disappointing if you saw them two nights in a row. Still, I wouldn't say it sucked.
Anyone have an extra RV camping pass for indio? I can't buy it right now, but I am gonna need one before the fest.
umm, yeah I'd say last night was pretty good!!! I could've done without the downpour but I won't complain. How bout Harpua?! I could've stayed and listened to them for 3 more days and they sounded like they wished they couldve played for 3 more days!!! Great show indeed!!
All horrible: song selection, playing quality, and sound/acoustics. I was in the middle pavillion about 1/3 the way from the back. I think that was somewhere around my 100th (?) show in 20+ years. Glad it wasn't my first or I never would have gone to my second.
fucking Harpua.... damn. The white whale of phish shows.
How was the David Bowie?
made it to alpine and creek. rockin shows had a blast. it was good to get back east for a few days to the ole stompin grounds
Good Bowie, though I was getting bounced around in the pav, and found it tough to concentrate.
Harpua on the other hand was good stuff. The story Trey was spinning was really trippy until the Perry song, and then it got goofy and fun. Least they finished the Harpua for us, and the ending sounded great.
I haven't relistened to any of the shows yet that we went to this summer, or heard anything from the 2nd leg.
Going from memory ;) I found the Antelope/Bowie/Fluffhead from Darien hotter than 2nd set Spac, and Red Rocks off the charts. The venue, the relaxed vibe, cooler weather, and the overall music of the rocks made it for me. The east coast shows seemed so much different in terms of the crowd, not bad or anything, just different.
Music highlights for me this summer are:
RR 1 Divided Sky, Ocelot, Stash, Mike's Groove, Ghost>Wolfman's, Billy Breathes, Bowie
RR 2 rain and melt in the 1st, and the whole damn 2nd set, been waiting for Crosseyed and Painless for so long, still waiting to rehear it
RR 3 Curtain With, Mound*, Gotta Jibboo run, the hand signals to call each song was entertaining, as was the Tube. My highlight of the 2nd set was Esther, though this show didn't do it for me as much as the others.
RR 4 Roses opener, that they got Caspian out of the way early ;), Beauty Of A Broken Heart is worth checking out again, and overall the new songs were sounding great.
The 2nd set opener Boogie is a rocking monster, YEM was ripping, Undermind was a treat to hear, and the 2001 is everything I had hoped for. Slave encore was perfect placement to hit the road again.
Overall, I am pumped they are back having so much fun. Those guys had such big grins on their faces, and looked like they were so stoked to be back.
They are sounding tight, inspired, and back on their game. Awesome summer, and looking foward to Halloween.
Now it's time for the epicness of driving back to reality again. Least there are big mtns there, and winter is on the way!
still trying to put my brain back together. all the DL hartford and SPAC killed it. the band is having fun and sounding sick. Hartford is in my top 5 shows of all time..been to about 75 or so. Cant wait for halloween, hope i dont have to fly to miami for new years
I'm surprised by that. I thought the song selection and playing quality were kinda weak, but i thought the acoustics and sight lines from the lawn were good. Off the top of my head, I thought Chula Vista in '03 and the first night in Vegas in '04 were weaker.
Still, though, not up to par with the soundboards I've heard from the other stops on tour.
Fall tour dates rumors. these have no base so take it for what it is. i have a hard time believing that they would play the warfield a day after their festival
ends.
