Sweet blog.
Modern AT boots hike better than any tele boot ever did, in all terrain, in all conditions. The only thing tele boots do better is make tele turns.
Oh, and TECH TALK, JONG!
Well, the world needs ditch diggers too.
first of all, Tech talk jong! Second of all, 1850g/boot isn't light. Go try other shit on.
Adapt or die.
Maybe try some interpretive dance or hula hooping or whatever it is these millennials are into these days.
Look for used boots on ebay or other sites. A friend of mine has skied Salomon SX 90's or some version forever because of their comfort. He's bought newer boots over the years but always reverts back. (yeah, weird, I know). He constantly is scouring ebay and other resale outlets for the SX 90's and has four or five pair ready to enter the rotation whenever he needs to swap out.
Another option is to surgically have your feet narrowed and buy current equipment.
Yea, Tech Talk Jong and all that. With that being said, look for the Garmont Venus. There are still a few floating around and apparently (despite the marketing babble) it is the exact same boot as the Syner-g with a lower rear spoiler in back (use the one from you Syner-g if you want).
Not knowing your foot size, there are some options here: http://www.telemarkdown.com/store/bo...venuscloseout/ and also here (Australia but ship to U.S.: https://www.wildernesssports.com.au/...boots-telemark
Also, check ebay periodically, I found a new pair for dirt cheap last year to replace my Syner-g for a touring option.
On a related note, I'm looking to buy a new car with a carburetor and drum brakes.
Well, not new but pretty sweet. Old doesn't imply broken goddamitt!!

How do you hide a $20 bill from a telemarker?
Put it under the soap.
Christ man, put down the bong.
Scott Voodoo 75 is the 3 buckle version of what you are looking for.
Or maybe, just maybe, upgrade the POS G3 Targas and consider NTN. The boots are a lighter and with the newer version of various bindings both the touring and downhill are much better.

Lock the heel, ski for real.
Take your question to teletips.
Not sound advice.

RIP Mitch, you were the man.
What is the hardest part about being a tele skier?
Telling your parents you're gay.
This almost as bad as a DSM thread. Kinda.
You don't have to live in the Wasatch to be telefree...
