Today the girls kicked it off in Sölden with a 1-2 for the Italians. I am a huge fan of Marta's. She could win a couple of globes this year.
Anyone know where I can watch a video of the race?

Thanks for the link, mang
That 3-second spread in the top ten has me wondering what the competition is going to be like this year. First race, cobwebs, etc. but some teams got significant snow time this spring/summer/fall (Vlhova was pretty much the only person in Slovakia skiing during the pandemic; she was quarantined with her coaches and had the whole mountain to herself this spring) and others, like the Americans, got basically fuck-all. We’ll see what the men do here in a minute.
Love that podium pic: shows how much of a moose Vlhova is, towering over Bassino from the bottom step.
20 year old Brazillian-Norwegian Lucas BRAATHEN won today. Youngest competitor in the field.
From left field. It is always interesting to see how the early winners do throughout the entire season
Braathen won today, but Odermatt will win multiple times this season. That kid’s skiing is incredible.

Swedes are quarantined for Levi... ouch. Finnish govt shut them in because of some cases among staff, I assume they’d be able to make it to Val d’isere.

Impressed with Schiffrin after run 1. Can’t be easy with so much time off.
Commentator on Eurosport says racers have base damage after run 1 because of rocks in the snow. [emoji15]

Odermatt and Zubcic swapping podium spots this weekend in Sta. Caterina, but how bout Tommy Fuckin’ Ford on the middle step yesterday! I love that kid.

Sounds like St Moritz was a mess, still hoping we get some speed events before the ‘rona drops the hammer again.
Yeah, saw that. You knew it was coming anyway.
What’s the plan with that, are they going to try to get everyone there early next year for test events right before the games?

Mens GS in Caterina was a great watch.
small mistakes on the wrong gate were worth 0.5 seconds, big mistakes in the right spot were only .1.
Flat courses are like that.

I should clarify I am a non TV owning person. No access to any real channels of any sort. Are there pirate streams that re-broadcast this stuff?

Kyle Negomir was speedy in training today, top American in eighth and the fastest speed posted in the second trap. We’ll see how that pans out, but good for him, that’s gotta be a good confidence booster.
Run it blind!
Ya, but we both know the Americans tuck it through the finish, where as the Europeans stand up before the finish straight and play their cards close.
If you look at the Performance Analysis for him:
Sec1 43rd,
Sec2 30th,
Sec 3 18th,
Sec4 18th,
Sec5 1st,
Sec 5 2nd.
Speed Trap1 24th,
Speed Trap2 1st.
And guess who was 2nd fasted through Speed Trap 2? 43rd place Travis Ganong, also 1st fastest though Sec 5.
Do you want to guess who was third fastest through Sec 5? 42nd place Ryan Cochran-Siegle.
