Earlier this month Ric Parnell, who played Mick Shrimpton, drummer of Spinal Tap, died aged 70.
Did he choke on his own vomit? RIP
Not vomit; boogers, I believe.
they can work the drummer dying into the script
Should be epic
I hope it begins with Nigel being a haberdasher.
They drag him out of the haberdashery to get the band together.
And reward him with an amp that goes to twelve.
I am sceptical, especially 40 years on.
Then again, I am really stoked for Top Gun: Maverick, so WTF do I know?
I was lucky enough to see Spinal Tap live back in 2001 on their "Back From The Dead" tour. The Folksmen opened.
well according to the artical in the guardian they are seriously over the hill, people are dead but there is this contractual obligation, what they do with that might be interesting
Someone elses vomit. You can't really dust for vomit.
I would be all in and feeling it had the real drummer not really died. Now not so much..
What's left for Hollywood to resurrect? I'm sure they can milk a few dollars out of some other movies that don't need to be rehashed. Maybe Goonies? Hopefully they'll find a way to greenlight a shameless reboot to cash in on fading nostalgia.
I expect it to be as awful as the Slap Shot sequels.
