You are actually speaking my language. I was looking at these and had wondered about the lip. I may pull the cord.

The lip is seriously killer. trust me on this.
It's like a mulligan.
Don't get 20's. 19s are perfect for that car or 18's if you want to err on the side of caution for bad roads.
I'm with CL, I like the stock on that whip. However the rims that Ice posted are really sharp and the removable lip is a feature I wish I would have had on many waaaaay-too-expensive BMW rims.
It's tough to find an after market wheel that doesn't make me look like some modding douchebag but bbs has some solid offerings. The replaceable rim is a huge draw. That scrap makes my skin crawl.
Yikes.
BMW Wheels
The BBS CH-R second row center is clearly the best looking wheel there.
imo
I'm a stock homer and most of those that show up in that link are the newer gaudy BMW wheels. I love the traditional powdercoat BMW wheels, like a lot of these. But that's like, just my opinion man.

Yeah, no.
Well, that's because you're an Audi guy, clearly. ;)
Clearly.
Or perhaps its because I'm not stupid. Somewhere in there.
Easy bro.
Like CL's rims, I usually think that the manufacturer gets it right for the overall design. Keeping it wagon stoke I always though these were tight.

He owns an Audi. And yet you persist with the BMW shit. Curious.
Really I was just professing my favor for stock rims and using the BM rims as an example, but whatever.

My first wagon.
I was feeling a bit ornery last night, sorry. BMW stock wheels are better than Audi but to me both are an afterthought to their respective manufacturers and are best used for snow tires.
Now these wheels I like:

although the rear one looks a bit odd, I guess it's just the pic? Or it got mashed. Not sure.
Feels like a wagon

Crude but fun from years ago, Volvo wagons with the mustang drivetrain swap. Looking back it's pretty lucky no one got hurt given the stupid things done in that setup.

This is a "Saabaru." It's a WRX with slightly different body and interior, but mechanically all Subaru WRX.
I think for my next car something like this will do:

Don't like the wheels.
