Awesome cat
Chao is doing well. He is mostly happy and has quit digging his fur and biting himself. Fish oil and bi-weekly flea medicine is working for now.

Youre in trouble. Only soft food or temptations can put you in the good books now along with the chin and back rub of course

Awwwwwwwww he's so cute! He's really come a long way since you brought home that scared little kitten.
Picked up some of these for my rabbit hunter. My boy Max just loves furry toys. Opened it up and threw one down as soon as they arrived and he grabbed it, growled at his sister and took it to his hiding place. Periodically during the day he will walk by with it in his mouth. Love the kittehs!

Let me in human.
Lost sweet kitty last week. She never went near the road as far as we knew but somehow got hit by a car. Great hunter so maybe she locked onto prey and ran out at the wrong time.

Oh no, sorry K.
The life of an indoor cat is usually miserable imo. She got to live. We are sad because of all the joy they bring.
Square waiting patiently

Thanx
Feel sorrow but as much sad for her sister who lost her lifelong companion.

I’d suggest cats are more vulnerable in a place like KQ. All but one of my city cats has died of old age.

Enjoy sunning yer nuts buddy.
As a person who has raised rabbits and dealt with hides I can tell you they smell to me like plain old rabbit fur/hide. I'm also well acquainted with the smell of formaldehyde.
from the Q&A:
Quote:
Are these treated with formaldehyde as one reviewer mentioned?
Answer:Here at Kats'N Us Pet Supply we care for the safety of cat play. None of our rabbit fur cat toys are treated with formaldehyde. Real fur products can have an slight animal smell which is normal and what attracts the cat to the toy. Brings out the natural instinct. There should be no other smell, the cat would know the difference. We hope that any of our kitty customers would contact us directly if there is any issues they may have with our products. I've had other rabbit fur toys for them before in the past 2 years and they are fine. The previous ones weren't natural like these, they were dyed bright blue (it was a gift from a friend) so I kinda feel these are better. Company makes this claim, again from the Q&A on Amazon:
Quote:
Where are these toys made? Where does the rabbit fur originate from? I don't see any info here or on the company's website.
Answer:These toys are by products of the food industry. Other countries use rabbit for food like we use chicken here. The scraps of fur are used to make other products like cat toys. We want these safe for cats so we know that the food industry rabbit fur is non-toxic, clean and not endangered. We have found a manufacturer in China, that is been making cat toys with rabbit fur for over 20 years. see less

Some of the 1 star comments are crazy. I dunno, rabbits are raised for food and animal testing (ugh) but the way I see it at least the hide is being used for something. What are you going to do - real or synthetic they both have pluses and minuses. My cats like these toys and have been playing with them for 2 years now. <shrug>
All the comments about people worried their cats will ingest it kill me. My cats catch and eat entire rabbits, bones and all so I'm thinking a rabbit fur pom-pom would be okay. They do make bigger ones that are 4 inches if the small size is a worry.
Here's the company web site - they are located in Oregon City OR but yes, like so much of everything in the US the toys are made in China:

You been trolled! ;)
