Not my pic, but ABasin's 2nd notch gets your attention Attachment 162466
Id guess that shot is somewhere in the high 50's or maybe 60 where it rolled a bit. We rapped twice before skiing. The section we rapped was 60+. I've got a photo somewhere if you're interested.
That's my best guess. It's the scariest thing I've ever skied and I was pretty spent by the time we were skiing that so measuring slope angle wasn't paramount for me at the time. Maybe straightchuter can chime in with better info. (if he ever reads tgr anymore)
Credit goes to my buddy Chris Hill (taken on 04/05/2008 - A-basin, 2nd notch) ... http://steepchutes.com/
Here's the entrance to the 1st notch (at 01:52 - If I can ski it, it ain't that sick ): http://vimeo.com/89170160

N San Juans. The scary part is the cliff a few hundred feet from the bottom...

noice. Did you straightline it?
Thanks Buckethead- aren’t you due for a Colorado trip? It has been dumping for days. Probably close to 2ft storm total. And counting.
