20 years ago today I posted online for the first time at powmag.com
I can't back that up, but I'm pretty sure it was around 20 years ago, I know it was in September 1999.
- I had no one to ski with, i found then became fast friends with a bunch of kooks here.
- I was told that stockli asteroids were the shit, so I bought them.
- I was an assistant controller at a tiny firm, I was in corporate hell.
- I was married to my first wife, I was still in school, my two girls were still littles.
--This forum took me out of corporate hell and I actually worked for the oddities that now run the board. I moved to Jackson WY. I skied 100 plus days a year for years. I grew my hair out.
My Dad died, TGR went bellyup and we laid everyone off. I moved back to Utah. I bought homes to flip, the market crashed. I got divorced. Life was REALLY bad.
This forum was here. Thank you.
I remarried, I got in arguements with friends here, I don't see them anymore, haven't talked to em in years. It was all very serious and dramatic I'm sure, but I can't remember what it was about.
I haven't skied in 4 years.
I'm a CFO of a really large regional firm. I do million dollar m/a work. Somehow I have convinced myself that it's all worth it.
I miss skiing.
I miss my friends.
I miss this board.
Not the 20 year anniversary post I was planning, here's to another 20 - I hope most of us are still topside.
frozen fred.
