Toss me a piece, I want to try that.
If you even consider Milka and Hershey chocolate you have already lost any standing to even compare chocolates.
Next you will compare wine to Barefoot and Yellowtail.
There's this little shop near here, no idea how it came to be located in suburban DC but it's pretty cool, they own a cocoa bean estate/farm in the DR and all the beans come from there, and they just have the one shop, here. It's artisan, organic, fair trade chocolate basically, and it's really good. Never heard of another place like it, I don't think that there is anyplace like it in this country at least. Nat Geo named it in a list of the 10 best chocolate shops in the world: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/t...ocolate-shops/
Their site: https://spagnvola.com
A little 8-minute film about it:

Trader Joe's has Ritter Sport. Pretty solid, I must say. I like the dark chocolate with hazelnut.
Best chocolate I ever had.

It’s been awhile, though. Don’t think any of his stuff is allowed on my current diet.
So does my local Hannaford. However, the selection sucks, it's not as fresh, and it's easily 4 times the price. I had several kilos in my suitcase last time. The factory store in Waldenbuch is a trip. They got flavors you won't see at Trader Joe's. Like a kid in a candy shop. Oh, wait, nm. Knusper flakes, and the halbbitter are my favs. The Jogurt is pretty good.
FUCK milk chocolate.
There, I said it.
Edit: I have never heard the term Dark Milk, but that sounds ok.
This is probably the best chocolate I have ever tasted, local company, but they don't seem to make it anymore

I personally only know 3 kinds: Toblerone kicks ass since it reminds me of skiing in Switzerland , milk chocolate all sort of sucks ass then dark chocolate that's ok.
Dark chocalate only FTW
The best chocolate, like ever, cheese and automobiles, does not come from the United States
I don’t think I’ve had enough yet to pick a favorite, but the Bourdain stuff my wife got me is a contender.
TJs 85% dark is fantastic for the price.
French Broad in Asheville makes drinkable chocolates that top my list of shit that’s delicious. Solid truffles, too.
Gearharts in CVille makes some of the best truffles I’ve had and their flourless chocolate cake is ridiculous.
Milk chocolate is gross.
Surprisingly, Safeway's 85% house brand chocolate is really good for cheap chocolate (produced in switzerland).
An individually wrapped chocolate handed to me as I exited the plane in Zurich, Switzerland. No brand that I could see.. Just wrapped in red paper with a white cross (the Swiss flag) and i just remember that it was the most amazing chocolate i'd ever had.
That wasn't chocolate...
