I've mostly heard good things about CA Ski Co last few years.
Pretty sure my roommate is the best bootfitter, base tuner and overall encyclopedia of everything to know in the shop. Theron at Bobo's in Reno. He tuned skis on the circuit in europe for world cup racers, does a footbed class for masterfit and is a helluva bootfitter. It's like there's nothing he doesn't know. A lot of the ski reps in Tahoe bring their demo fleets down to Reno so Theron can tune them. Dude knows fucking everything. Don't work with anyone else. Tell 'em you want Theron. And yes, it's ok to tip for a killer fit.
I had a positive boot fitting experience at Cal Ski Co in Berkeley. This was back in April. They have some guys who have been fitting people in boots for several years, including the dude from Marmot (RIP). Sorry I can't remember his name but he is good.
It’s basically summer. Yesterday was hot down by the water. This morning we had a fog layer, so way chilly.
Listening to the tree crickets here tonight...wonder if they'll survive Saturday's cold snap?

I've been waiting for the opportunity to talk about boobfitting. My wife likes to get fit at Victorias Secret.
Ahhhh FFS, I just reread the title...nice work PD.

New snow made it "skiable" so 19-20 thread....
New snow made it skiable last week too. I'm comfortable with calling Sept 1 the first day of the new season. At least I'm just as uncomfortable counting the days in the new season as I would be in the last.

was really great to watch the Caltrans cam at 50 and ski run and see those cars with snow on the roofs driving around this morning
