The angle of the photo closes some of the chutes and makes it a tough call.
Both of you are correct, Snowbasin it is. I figured MD or one of the Basin locals would quickly get it, nice job Ted.
Neither AD's nor Roo's photos ring a bell with me?
In the spirit of random one pieces spotted on the hill, here's another easy one.

Here's a hint: Go east from DINMS' guess by 100 miles or so.
Bob Mc's latest picture: Well, that's gotta be Lake Tahoe, so that limits it somewhat. I'll guess Squaw Valley.
the bottom photo is le petite matterhorn.Quote:

the top one might be alpe h'duez.
BobMc: Heavenly.
Ponderay indeed.
Roo's shots - France (old) Suisse (newer?)
Correct. Was it the fart bag that gave it away?Quote:

With absolutely no reason for guessing this, I'm going to say Powder Mountain, Utah.
I've never been to Utah so this is truly a shot in the dark!

Early December, last season.

That dude is just plain good looking.
powers of deduction, huh? was it the angle of the sun, or the fact that there is hardly any snow on the other side of the road?Quote:

edit: no i wasn't trying to be a smartass, i was trying to figure if it was late spring or fall. i thought the shadows looked too long for spring.
just a joke about the lack of snow. you can tell the area's been open for a while. (dec. gots the loooongest shadows)
So WTF does "hello wilber" mean? Just for those of playing along at home :)Quote:

I'm guessing that AD's first pic is Big Mountain and the second one is Crystal. Been to Big Mo many times, never been to Crystal. But that photo looks like an OB area that some boarders were swept away in an avy a few seasons ago. I recall a description of the area and that looks pretty much like the place.
