Saw a set of these in the Rotor US HQ the other day. Someone had sent them in for a bearing service. The tech was like "I don't know what we're gonna do with these". They're an old attempt to eliminate the dead spot using a mechanical linkage that allows each crank to rotate forward through the dead spot independently of the other crank, or the drivetrain. WTF. So heavy, complicated, and I imagine clunky to ride. I asked the tech if they're sweet, with no hesitation he said NO. Hahahaha!

Well, there's at least one guy out there who thinks they're pretty sweet.
It actually works. Just not a very elegant way to get it done. I am a fan of their oval rings, not sure if they're any better than the rest though. If you have their cranks though, you can clock the offset forward or back in small increments based on your own torque output. There's probably some advantage to that if you're racing at a top level. Their power meter app measures torque vectoring for that purpose.

Shouldn’t your legs eliminate any dead spots?
Change in speed shown means the change in net leverage is awfully similar to their oval chainring. So hard to imagine they came up with that thing first. Or maybe it's not.
ETA, I definitely want to try it. I have no idea why.
I think you can fit the Exycle bars on that. Can't leave out the upper body!!
