powbmps: you should know all the smart bikers ride side-saddle right.
if you have to dismount there's a better chance for a soft landing, and avoiding getting run over by on-coming traffic.
kidding aside that seems pretty nuts. similar to the kooks i see in town riding wheelies for entire blocks on busy streets, and ofte in large numbers.
Last weekend, it was upper Skyelark to lower Bittersweet. Lower Skyelark was long gone. It was very thin in a lot of spots on Sunday. Once the sun came out, it was getting pretty sketchy. I haven’t seen anything official but I doubt it will be open especially with temps warming today and tomorrow.

this was saturday around 4pm
the choke between upper and mid was over-seasoned, nice snow elsewhere but was going fast.
MNIAW and Goniff on Sunday during a sunny period. Good times hanging in Bay1 for the day.

Interesting waking up yesterday with snow to the bottom of Murphys, melting by the time I took a photo late morning when the summit cleared. 4.8" on George yesterday should make for rollerball city at some point in the coming days and a few glide crack mishaps.:fmicon:

The 'Star yesterday afternoon. Lack of snow tower 1 > 2 will be the downfall this weekend, that warm dirt area will melt out quickly under heavy traffic. They can still grab a bunch of snow along the ramp which is deep.

All patched up this morning, should set up nicely for opening bell. Looking to ski Friday and Saturday, might head out after lunch Saturday and head to the RCAC beer garden in the park.

They are only selling a few tickets as it's mostly pass holders. They have never limited tickets in the spring before, don't see it happening this year.
FYI, Steins still T2B this AM with just one weak spot.

Last call for t2b... get after it.
^^ seriously VT. you posted it, you ski it:fm:
powbmps: might have been weather and mother's day but crowds were light last weekend. no lift lines, at least in the pm, when i was there.
i'm thinking we're down to the hard core that is still skiing; K likely wants to sell as many tix as they can at this point.
Pretty nice day for some cornduroy.

urban pow!
Nice Alva and skate stoke! I skated Alva decks back in the mail order dayz... Blockhead decks too. Pic from the archive guessing ‘86 or so. Sticker from our kitchen fridge. You may have motivated me to dust off a board and take a rip at the local park someday soon.
sweet man! rad photo! no shame in padding up if you do. The urban pow hits different if you have to bail. Wish i could take a rip down to that sweet park in Burlington next to the lake. Might make a road trip of it this summer if things open up and get some good beers and cheese
My first 'real' skate as a kid was an alva w toxic wheels. Wish i still had it. Still have to get them in the mail these days, the alvas are impossible to find in shops north of the border. He's got some pretty sweet rigs up on his website.

Quickly approaching patch season in Maine, and with the forecast, the patches will probably be going fast.
