Laying down the seeds for tomorrows corn?
Very good, considering. If you have intentions of hitting GOS, make it soon. The usual low trail problems will be evident later in the week. The two lowest snowbridges over stream crossings might last to Wednesday, certainly not to Friday.
The first alternate* uptrack will be mandatory by Friday. The sunny pitch the alternate uptrack avoids was just skiable so plan on the skier's right twig-world bypass on the way down. The main trail snow bridge on the flat where the alternate up departs probably did not survive Sunday. The right side curved bridge at the same spot still looks good for another week.
The Big Dip crossing will soon be a walking affair as the snow bridges got hammered on Sunday. Skiers left through the rocks might last 'till Friday or Saturday.
Some of the mid elevation sunny slope issues are just starting to peek out but trail cover is way better than expected. One of the mid elevation traverses is already a bit of pinbal skiing, but should hold through next Saturday.
The gullies are very full, seasoned GOS skiers will get another three-four weeks. The finicky won't.
Although I did not check it, the GL looked well covered. My bet is the Northern end puddle will surely be deep and the bog bypass will be required soon.
Excellent reporting. GOS looks in pretty fantastic shape. Thanks for the info!

The snow is starting to get a little dirty.

It’s such a clear day. I could count the wind turbines at Searsburg and Lemster. The Whites were out in all their glory and the sun propped over the ‘daks had me hanging at the summit for a while.

^^^ F'n glorious out there today. Got on the (road) bike for the first time this year, but still plenty of shred to be had- S6 looked fun and I'll be heading to K later this week and a few times next week. Good damn stuff.
I took a lot fewer pictures than usual today but it was an incredible day up the west side and down Airplane. There’s a serious cornice at the top but it sure was ripping today. I wouldn’t expect corn there for a few freeze/thaw cycles, lots of soft wind slab for the moisture to get through. The lower half of our descent back to the car was corn perfection though.

nice! was on the fence for tomorrow.. gonna wait
I know Cannon has an official "no skinning during non operational hours" but I was curious if anyone know about this time of year. Are they likely to say anything?
In case you didn't know, slow the fuck down on your way to Killington.
Oh and that motherfucker in Mt. Tabor has been known to pull over speeding state troopers while in their patrol cruisers and actually ticket them!
The Plymouth sheriff travels between Tyson and Plymouth. I’ve seen him in Tyson a bunch this year. Always has someone pulled over. But in between those two spots, and from Plymouth to Killington, you can haul ass.
Speaking of, Killington was so freaking good yesterday.

If you let it steep long enough, it will achieve a soup like consistency.
Yesterday was insanely good in Tuckerman. Awesome corn, soft snow, full coverage summit to car. Some HEAVY lines went down (not by me haha) which was fun to watch as well. Hope this rain event doesn't screw us up too bad cause I might want to go back Friday.

As suggested by others THE BEAST was prime today. Peel away corn. Cascade was (not surprisingly) the POTD.
^ Nice t-shirt stoke.
PSA: Jay has posted that the Bonnie is expected to be open this weekend, which is good news. I'm heading down for the first time this season to ski with my brother, look for the two old farts squabbling like siblings.
Likely sliding at K on Friday. Lets Party!
