I did a few golden Spike laps that day too. Was one of the best spots I hit, especially since there was not one person over there. Except you and I obviously.

Great biking weather all over SW CO this week. Road trip to ride Salida, Gunnison, Durango, and GJ. All dry as a bone and mid 70's. Allergies are killing me now.
Summer-like evening in Denver. Town is hopping and the primo ass is out.
Hey summit county folk, what’s timing looking like in the alpine? Thinking about heading your way tomorrow. 12k N/NE. Got corn?
10:45-11:00 for the harvest

If you were on Citadel today ~10:15, I've got pics for ya.
Corn harvest in full swing. S/SE faces ripe by 10.
That might've been us actually, we saw a few crews out there today but we were running late and only hit the TH at 8:00/NE Chute Summit as it was really starting to slough out at 10:50 or so.
11:00am till 3am is ripe for Mile High TnA.
Heh, also could have been us on the citadel, though it felt like we were just on the late side of good. Left wall of the NE chute was releasing loose wet little waterfalls off the rocks. I had a red pack, white/red helmet. Not sure what time we dropped though.
A pair, one with green pants and one with an orange helmet, on citadel. They are far away by the time I got the shot.Attachment 234066
Good corn at Mary Jane yesterday AM until 12 when lower stuff got sticky.
CAIC warning about warm overnight temps below 12k = wet slabs

Drift Peak was spectacular today. Surprisingly wintery wind buff pow.

Weather appears to be taking a turn this week?
Can any Vaileagle or PBville mags tell me what conditions are like on Homestake Road currently? I know it's gated to wheeled vehicles until 5/20, but wondering if there's still enough snow cover to snowmobile up. I suspect not, but I haven't been west of the tunnel in weeks so really have no idea.
buddy and I are skiing Loveland wed. Looks like my last day of lift serve this year.
I have 2 extra Loveland tix, if you want them, let me know. They are free! Trade for good karma
Or if you want to ski free wed, will meet you in the lot.
I am hoping to get there some day this week (I have one last ticket), but it probably won't be Wednesday. Looking at Friday, I think.
Let me know what u decide...id love to get another day or two on the sled. My nytro was super under utilized this year. No expectations for epic day. Vail pass probably my thoughts and just on the groomed trails at that. Georgia pass off tiger road perhaps another option once u get past the dirt trailhead.
That's probably you on the cat track then. There were a couple of folks out and about that day that I just didn't seem to catch up to!
Oh, and the one Masters dude on some Hart F17s that I did catch and follow on a Phantom lap. Fun day, and one of these days I will make the meet up and hang in person. I swear (for the 7th - 10th year)...
Homestake is toast. Don't know what you would seek to get at on a sled from there anyway other than a nice camp across the res.
You could still make a bid at notch or holy cross though. Some mud, but now is the time. Super limited time wise though. Nova just pulled their quonset and you could drive it on snow with a decent truck, but there was a packed snowpack and no vehicles were actually up there. Gate is up, but with a sled you've got maybe a week to grab that approach. If you want a recco, let me know. Few inches predicted wed-thurs.
