well, it's been a while since I parked there overnight, but I think this is new. Not sure.

How many is a "mega kitchen range?"
I'd guess your average car is 5 kitchen ranges. And there were probably 2000 kitchen ranges worth of cars.
Dam, today’s not even going to be good.
Sure it does. But if it wasn't his site it would be someone else. It was really cool when he was doing what he's doing and only a few people read it, and I can't blame him for figuring out how to parlay that into a successful business. the natural end product of that, however, is now everyone knows what's coming, and your only hope are the sleeper storms.
luckily though most on the front range still just go by the morning reports. Like last week for that friday storm day, 5" on the report led to no crowds here in breck but with 7" falling in the next few hours afterwards it was great. Then the next day the report was 13" and it was insanity as usual.
the only good days here at the resorts seem to be the nasty stormy days
Completely agree with this. So many people that are casual skier friends of mine live and die by his reports. Media outlets and the mountains themselves quote his predictions often in their hyping of snow. He even had a post a few weeks ago detailing ways to ski a mountain, thinking about aspect and wind loading, which most gapers don’t even think about. I respect his abilities and his business but it really sucks how it (and social media as a whole) has ruined the powder day and many a stash. Just have to be more savvy than the masses to have a good one.
I’m sure the 5 million people from Cheyenne to Pueblo have nothing to do with this. Nope , blame Open Snow . You chumps need to take a lap.
For a bunch of dentists with PhDs, this crowd brings the lolz.
Most of the new population is clueless. I’ve heard the comments.
I know! Anyone who has moved to CO after 1990 should have to wait til noon to ski.
Oh wait, that probably fits most of you guys, ?

Is Joel also a contributing factor to the clusterfucks in the Summer ;-)
... Thim
Yeah, yeah. Let's not complicate it. I70 issues and crowded ski areas stem from one unavoidable reality. There are tons of people here, and many of them like to go skiing.
I think I'm becoming more and more like Kinnikinnick, growing tired of the #radbros frowning on anyone else playing in the mountains.
Anyway, please return to the outrage over Open Snow telling folks to take advantage of wind loading and that it might snow in a few days. Yeah, that is groundbreaking Nobel prize research right there.
For obvious reasons, I prefer to tune in to Amelia Earhart for my weather forecasts.
I'm not outraged. He's cool, I'm happy for him and accept the way things are. As I said before, if it wasn't him it'd be someone else.
And fuck, I moved here in 1992, I'm two years late!
^ Word! Now that you are residing in Alamosa, you shouldn't be in the I70 bitch thread anyway!
Yep sorry bros, you guys thought that you were the old time locals entitled to look down on the new crew stealing your tracks but really you’re just the Newbies to another era of OG old time locals who were outraged that you had arrived and were clogging up I70 and competing for the wind blown powder stashes.
