Anyone going to the Fire on the Mountain event on Thursday in Dover?

Skied for a bit yesterday morning at Sunday RIver. They had tilled what they could, but calling it "groomed" would be a bit of a stretch. I had fun for about an hour and a half, then agreed with the girlfriend that it was cold and getting (relatively) crowded with only one trail open.
Guns are on again now, although they'll probably have to shut down at some point soon with the sun warming things up. Tomorrow's forecast looks...interesting. Fingers crossed that the temps end up being a bit lower than forecast and the precip is solid.
No update to the blog but Josh Fox is already coming up with some interesting numbers on Twitter. Any corroboration from the amateur mets?
Snow-forecast confirms so he's got to be right.

Is the Boston Ski expo worth going to? Costs $15. Are there good deals on discounted tickets? Or is it just advance online pricing and they show the discount % from window price...
I was considering it.. but $15 gets a lot of PBR
In actual ski talk, was anyone up at killi on sunday afternoon? Trying to gauge the level of shitshow one would expect up there on a sunday afternoon at this time of the year...

I was up there from opening at 9 until around 2pm, in the singles line I never waited more than a minute or two in the morning and by lunch time it was ski on to the lift for singles and groups. The snow under the guns on upper east fall was great as long as I could get a strategic goggle wipe in every other turn.

Not that bad of a shitshow crowd-wise. Besides the 1/2 a trail of snowmaking, the other 3/4 of the open terrain was in rough shape. That may have contributed to the crowd reduction.
Thankfully, that lift has limited uphill capacity so those trails aren’t ever that bad early season. The only issue is, how big of a shitshow the lift line is.

On a different note....
FussyDutchman, Mrs MNIAW, and I went to Lawson's official opening last night. The soft openings had the crew dialed in and it was smooth as glass.

How long before some tourist steals this?

Oh, the beers were phenomenal. Sip of Sunshine is dead to me now.
Had a chance to say hi to Sean as things were closing down (last call is at 7:00pm for now...) Lots of other local celebs seemed to be about but no sign of Vt-F
Great to see they finally opened. Will it be the next flatbread shitshow? Were you taking cockshots in the lav and happened to notice the fancy urinal cake??
