So once again I was blessed today. I had planned on taking my son to the mountain, however his mother called me and told me that her appointments were cancelled, and hinted that she'd feel more secure if our son stayed with her and didn't go out on the roads today, moreover she said that they'd been up late last night, and he would likely sleep late. She told me to go skiing. :)
I made my way up to the hill after having to stop and wait at the bottom of the road, because they were not allowing any more people in, until some more vehicles left. It was full to overflowing. They weren't as badly parked as yesterday, but I think there were more cars. Snowbowl made more space with plowing.
14 more and no school?

20'' overnight at LT? Please tell me someone's crazy enough to drive down there!
You guys are so damn lucky. Nothing but a wet fart over here and at midnight it was 44 degrees last night. FML.
Glad some people in Montana are getting some. Post some stoke or I might choke myself out with my avy beacon harness ...
Wasn't a gongshow today at all. Had to leave early, but it was pretty sweet. Can't believe I never skied Meadows before. What the hell is wrong with me? w00t.
Rubies are a strange ski. Not particularly floaty, but really springy. Sooooo light. I think I just need to exaggerate the up/down motions more and get in better shape to charge harder. They are surprisingly stiff.
Props to the Bowl's Lifty crew for the hard work this week and for making everything run a tad more efficient. Solid work...
well that was a sweet 60 something hour of constant snowfall - now we're left with the mess. In town roads are shit, mountain roads are slick and we're waiting for the next one - hopefully the entire state will be get a big pow blanket again soon. :zap:
thankful that some slopes are still soft and sending up the fresh :ski:
I would say we got the 4" of water they were forecasting at one point. That was some wet-ass snow, and we got about 3'.
Yeah, just checked Stuart Mountain Snotel. Looks like 4.1"
wow, look at that, you CAN forecast the weather in Montana. :D
In WESTERN Montana that is, total crap shoot roll of the dice over here.
Ripped a top to bottom run on Sentinal this morning. Including a couple turns on the "M"...you know it's deep in Msla when that can go down.
It wasn't just you Smokey

Done it twice now, but I've kinda cheated....Attachment 108601
Wow. That is fucking sweet. Today?
Yep, that was today after class. Did it once yesterday too!
The snow is so damn crusty up there, I'm glad I can just lightly skip over it. Basically hardback that doesn't even break when skinning up.
Best way to get to class ever. Can you float it into the Oval? ;)
The craziest thing about that picture is that there are two of you.
I could put her down in the Oval easily, but I'm pretty sure the university would not be appreciative of this form of transportation. Damn silver wings had to go and eff it up at the stadium this year.
Oh well, i'll just use the Kim Williams trail instead next time.
That is fucking bad ass.
