Cool
That looks very fine. Still holding in the Sierras.
Gimpy learning how to post photos is one of the better tgr developments of 2018.
Seriously...impressive from the all mighty Gimpy! Stoking the end of the season for sure.
Sickness. North Peak/ Saddlebag Lake area?
Friday I’m going that way
Nice gimpy, I regret not going now!
Yeah Gimpy! - looks like you made the right turns, and were certainly on the right path. Good Maze to never get out of, if you ask me.

Did you look at the North peak couloirs?
Any bergshrunds.

BTW, Shasta is skiing great. Today, Brewer Creek had great corn. About an hour walk on dirt. North facing was powder up high.
I know it's the wrong forum, but trying to point the East side lovers towards good coverage

So where is this Shasta of which u speak rod?
First 2 sets of pics are from the y on conness and the impeccably smooth conness glacier. Last set is from the lookers left north peak couloir. Typical waterfall downclimb required to exit n peak zone. All pics are from 2 days ago/Sunday. As jorion already noted, the lower flanks of saddlebag are cupped badly but the upper zones are still holding the goods.
Shasta is North of here

You probably know this, but there's another way to come down from the north peak couloirs.
From the right one (Lookers), go straight ahead, still on snow.
When the snow ends, turn right. There's a ramp there that bypasses the waterfall and takes you to the flat area, way below the waterfall.

no ski stoke at the moment but need some advice -
I need a killer camp spot on ebbets/sonora.
Requirements:
• family camping, so car camping but a bit of a walk is fine we can hump the gear up the road if the spot is good.
• high up elevation-wise as possible - already cooking down low in the day time
• pretty
We have a default spot we always go up another pass - (where ppl are skiing currently, pm for details) - feels like backpacking but doable w small kids - but looking to expand out a bit.
pls PM your secret spots and I promise not to share.
Thanks!
I’m thinking Saddlebag Friday and Mammoth Saturday.
I'm gunna call it, Gimpy wins June
Skied one of the Conness chutes yesterday.
Prime condition, soft snow.
It was the only one on that ridge without a bergschrund.
Approach sucks.
I was going to ski North peak today, but hours of walking on dirt didn't sound as appealing as it did a week ago.
Found some goggles by the dam. Was it lost by the pair that skied the couloir just before me?Attachment 239135Attachment 239136Attachment 239137Attachment 239138
