I picked up a pair of 11-12 c&d from wren last month. Due to hold conflict I can either use his inserts for the toe and end up -1 or I can go +.5 with a fresh mount. Consensus on mount point on that ski? Leaning towards going back.
I don't see the point in a k116 k108 quiver, look at a ruler, look at what 8mm is, now look again and look at what 4mm is, that's the difference.
Pick one of the two depending on how it fits in your quiver, slightly more soft or firm.
If you are going short on the k108 for park then I get it, otherwise......
Also Iggy I emailed you for some advice on my 6'8" 260lb friend.

Those look pretty sick. But I would hate to have to look for one on a pow day after a double eject
i know. I'll have to put flashing lights on the tips/tails.
Sticker the shit outta them
Very nice.
Super Goats??
So the 181 was more for playing around all mountain and getting creative, while the 186 was a powder/charger? Makes sense.

Here is a photo of a 190 Super7 RD between two Billy Goats. One of these is not regularly stocked in the ski shop...

I quite like the white tux look. I wonder if on low vis pow days, people on the chairlift gonna think your skiing invisible skis

The other reason a 108 and 116 work well together is that they have a different type of sidecut (elliptical vs bi-radius), different tip/tail taper and shape (k108 more daily driver shape, K116 more soft snow orientated), and yes the width.
Here is a pic of all three Kartels. Notice the K98 and K108 have the same tip shape, but then look at the K116 and you will see what I mean. The tails also have this taper and shape that the K98 and K108 do not have:

Excellent two ski quiver for a west coast jibby/surfy skier :)
Absolute revelation to me, had no idea the 116 had an elliptical side cut... is it the reverse elliptical?
I think those black on whites are dead ass sexy!

Funny enough - the 2 ski quiver of almost everyone here is a Kartel 108 everyday, Kartel 116 for powder. As Jay mentioned, a number of other changes beside width (layup, flex, taper, biradius).
Charlie Murphy, Magnus, Kartel 98, Kartel 108, Jessie 88, Jessie 98 = Eliptical
Kartel 116, Jessie 108, Wren 88, Wren 98, Wren 108 = Bi-Radius
Steeple 108, Steeple 116, Billy Goat, Cease & Desist = RES
might need to sticky that
