After 2 miles my wife--last in the line of cars--was able to pass and she rolled down the window and politely asked the cyclist to ride in the bike lane, for which she got a middle finger.
She was in the thrift when the cyclist came in--apparently they were headed to the coffee shop in the same strip as the thrift--and started screaming at her at length. My wife locked herself in a dressing room while the guy continued to scream and eventually left.
I don't view this as a cyclist problem. I view it as a Truckee/Tahoe entitlement problem. And as a problem of a very insecure, damaged person who has to take his aggression out on an old woman.
