Morning excitement at my house today. City Light came and installed a new utility pole. I figured they'd be taking out the old one, but instead they dug a hole next to it and installed a new pole, and removed maybe the top half of the old one. Not sure why two poles are required, but I guess they must have a reason. It was sort of cool watching them hoist the new pole into place and drop it in the hole.
