The fuck? I don’t see anything written about such an incident.

It's great that billionaires can afford really unique ways to die.
Are you sure they're not?

Somehow this thread has gone 5 pages without this video being posted-

Seems like the guy running the operation didn't take safety and redundancy very seriously.
From what I understand, the sea is so pitch black by the wreckage, that basically all you could see is what is illuminated directly in front of that tiny little shitter-porthole window. All the pictures we know of the Titanic have been stitched together from multiple photos that lit up the different bits of the wreck. That said, why in the fuck anyone would want to put their lives at risk in an essentially home-made submersible (assuming they could find it) to catch a tiny glimpse of a part of a massive wreck that is directly in front of a shitter window is beyond me.
Oh, you know why.

Can we send a whale down with a camera attached to their head?
Maybe if they find the door down there, it will save ONE of them
Somehow it feels to me that the book written about this adventure will be a bit less soul capturing than the climbing stories of Mallory, Kurtz, Simpson etc.
How many times have we seen negligible responses to refugee boats capsizing?
It would definitely be more compelling (and yes, entertaining) if they started eating each other like the Donner party or those soccer players. But unfortunately the time limitation on air would likely preclude that possibility.
