Can anyone comment on the fit relative to a Tigard or Radical? Apologies if this has been asked.

Sadly just don't really work for me, so I'm selling. Size 26. Shells used twice for a total of about 6 hours, liners never used. No punches or stretches to the shells. No 26s available in the country retail as far as I can tell. $750. Retail for $900 plus tax, so saving about $200.
Man, I usually size down to a 26 but I think it makes sense to go 27 in these with what everyone is saying about the length.
Anyone able to directly compare the fit to the Vulcan?
I needed a slight big toe length punch in the size 27 Vulcan. Would a size 28 Ridge be the move (other fit details notwithstanding)?
Fit notes comparing to ZGTP were great, too.
Thanks
I’ve had a 26 Vulcan, hoji pro tour, free 130 and found the 26 ridge to be too small lengthwise. Sized up to a 27 w/ Zipfit gft which is a more substantial liner and am happy w/ fit, rom and skiability.

Copy. Thanks.
Fuckit, just ordered the last 28 from SkiMo after calling to confirm BSL (standard 10mm increments so 307mm for the 28)
I’m so excited for more real-world reviews from mags I trust!
I’ll probably take the plunge on some 27s soon…
One pair of those left, too, Z....
Anyone with a pair that can weigh just the shells?
My 27 shells were 1129g/1131g

Got the boots today and... they're too big. I could tell as soon as I unboxed them. Back to skimo they go.
I bought 28s, after being in 27 Vulcans for a while previously which needed a length punch. Current boot is a 26.5 shell Tecnica, which is just a tad longer internally than the 27 Vulcan and didn't require a punch. But I think the 27 shell Ridge might be dang tight, almost too small.
Nice boot tho. Pretty complex, and I'm skeptical of the longevity of some of the small features and details. These make my ZGs look like caveman boots. Twist closure seemed wimpy. Tough to compare fit with the shell size being wrong but the heel pocket seemed a little bigger than the ZG. Toe box is wider at the very front but I felt width pressure at the ball of foot, which I expect would demand a punch there if I seriously pursued this boot.
I'm gonna keep skiing the Tecnicas as they fit well enough, ski great, and remain in decent shape. Also, while the Ridge has more range of motion overall and a little less friction, I think the forward travel is on par or even slightly less than that of the ZG, which is by far the more important direction for cuff mobility IMO. Does anyone put their foot way the fuck in front of them when striding? I need to push off with my foot way behind me, especially when on a slope, and need the cuff to come forward with my shin. The floating tongue is kinda cool but I think there's more material there than necessary (unless they really intend for it to play a meaningful role in the flex characteristics in conjunction with the hoji-lock spine) and maybe it hinders the forward travel a bit.
Anyway, here are some pics.

I’d say yes. I value rearward range more than forward. Similar reason that people want a flat option in their binding. Stride length, rather than stride frequency, is generally where you gain efficiency on the skin track.

anyone else feel like the front of the toebox is really low? Or did I just do a shitty job molding these liners? They're beefy.
Well, yeah.
But there's a practical limit to how far in front of your body you can weight a foot. I like to stride out long on the flats, too, but IMO you only need so much rearward ROM to get there. I'd prefer to have balanced ROM forward and backward, rather than biased rearward. Personal pref.
Wait, did you mean 27.5 Tecnica, or is your ZGTP really 2 mondos smaller than the Ridge? I did not realize the ZGTP was crazy long compared to other boots.
Regardless, good notes on fit. I am kind of between a 26 and 27 in most boots, so I'm still hopeful the 27 will work out. In a couple days, I'm gonna be near a shop that supposedly has both 26 and 27 in stock so I'm hopeful I can try them on in person and make a decision.
And you're the second person in this thread who mentioned specifically the forward ROM being lacking. That sucks for a boot this light. I agree that an even balance of (frictionless) forward/backward ROM is key. Rearward ROM seems to get more hype because I think it's more easily noticed when striding on flat ground and walking around a shop, but forward ROM makes a bigger difference on the skintrack for sure. Also, I think people's ankle dorsiflexion makes a big difference. My ankles are pretty stiff in dorsiflexion but less stiff in plantarflexion so I tend to notice a lack of rearward ROM a bit more than a lack of forward ROM.
Not sure I can get these to work with my feet.
The instep gimmick is nifty but there's just not a lot of space vertically for my feet in the toebox.
