I’m pro people, apparently you and Core Shot have no problem with vulnerable people being abused and taken advantage of. We now have more confirmation of what kind of person you are.
Now you’re stalking me, exercising your coercive control? Failing miserably

Mentally ill people are drawn to phrases with alliteration - especially with hard consonants at the start.
Even more so if there is an element of paranoia or persecution associated.
Not surprised Core Shot is worked up about coercive control.
Worked up to the point he also threw out “progressive progress” as another example.
A horrifying story of coercive control against a nine year old over the course of her lifetime by one of Canada's most iconic writers and her spouse.

If nothing else, awareness of coercive control shines a light on behavior that may seem innocent from the outside if looked at in isolation but in fact causes serious long term alarm and distress for the victim
It’s a little funny that the story linked by CS is about a law passed in NSW Australia. Most of those things listed as “coercive control” are already illegal in a lot(the majority?) of US jurisdictions.

Old Goat makes me submit. I don’t like it. But he coresively controls me.
The comments about not being able to leave an abusive relationship. You can’t leave verbal or emotional or financial abusive relationship
But somehow you get a prosecutor to initiate criminal charges .
There are non profits shelters and counseling to get you out.
Either way the abused person has to make a decision.
Do the decision. Leave. Why do you need to put your partner in prison for bad words or coersion?
That’s fucked up.
But there’s a crime there. Aiding and abetting child rape. Tampering with evidence. Interfering with a criminal investigation. Accessory to a crime. Etc.
My point which most don’t understand is that making it a crime to use mean words is insane. As is making it a crime to not open the door to your house for a relative to come inside. It’s your house.
then you should move to NSW Australia to fight the adoption of this horrible law... be a man of action!
Like most things that are nuanced, you miss the point. Saying something mean won’t be a crime by itself, saying something mean with intent to control and intimidate would be, this would likely have to be an ongoing pattern of behavior. Does that make sense to you? There are already laws on the books for this in most jurisdictions in the US.
What’s happened here is that you’ve answered the dog whistle of click bait journalism, it works very well on people like you.

No one disagrees with free speech and personal property rights being valuable personal rights.
But there is a line where someone uses those as cover for domestic/psychological abuse, and you seem to have taken the position that criminalizing such behavior is an attack on normal good behavior, which it isn’t.
So, ^^^ that is what most don’t understand.
It looks like you see yourself squarely in the crosshairs of this sort of behavior and think it’s innocent personal freedom being unfairly squashed. Please feel free to disabuse us of this understanding of what you are saying in this thread.
Ok. You’re right. Let’s charge President Biden with coercive control. Or kidnapping for not letting someone into your house? That was an insanely stupid comment.
We need to charge Hunter as well. Not acknowledging your baby momma is tragic.
