My quick take typed from a phone - As a person who writes expert reports for use in civil matters for a living, their case is convincing but thin and propped on a LOT of assumptions. Additionally, the investigators alter data to fit the statements of referees and their viewpoints.
I would like to see their engagement letter / instructions because it does not read like a report that was intended to present any evidence that contradicts their position. If that is the case, the Patriots should have been allowed to have its own experts participate and prepare its own report. The Wells team was apparently given free reign to make assumptions based on its opinions. When you start stacking opinion based assumptions upon each other, it is a very shaky foundation to use to invoke harsh punishment.
