Praxis mount point
I read the email from Keith saying to mount them at a boot center line between 97 amd 98 cm from the tip. I compared them to a 185 pontoons and the pontoon mount line was much farther back (5 cm or so). So where have people been mounting them? I'm going to have touring bindings on them so maybe a forward mount would be alright.

I mounted them where he told me to (pretty much on line) and they ski as well as I could possibly want.

I ended up mounting them 98.5 cm from the tip (just a hair farther back than what Keith recommends). Thanks to Jumper Bones for pointing me towards Sturtevants in Puyallup for the mount. Two other shops in Tacoma turned me down and thought I was insane for trying to put Naxos on a ski that grotesquely huge. Sturtevants grabbed em and said they would be done the next day. Unfortunately, the Praxis curse has hit the PNW. High pressure rolling in right after a rain storm left a nice crust in the mountains. I still plan on taking them out to see how they handle the one week old powder/rain/wind crust. I'll report back with a review.

you don't want to do that. just let em wait and in due time you'll be riding the pow with em and you'll be happier than a clam. you wont have a good time on old frozen snow with the praxis rippers.

I bought a pair of 195's this year and was wondering the same. The 195's suggested mount point is from 102 to 104. Keith replied to an e-mail I sent him asking for suggestions and said that if I was more comfortable with a more traditional feel that 104 - 105 would be best. I skied the Armada ARG last year on a Cat skiing trip and it was mounted on the Armada line and I felt it was too far forward for my liking and moved the demo bindings back a couple of cm's until I liked it. So in a local ski shop today, I measured how far back the mounting point was from the tip and it was 99.5. given that the ski is 1 cm longer than a 185 praxis, that would be the same as mounting a praxis at around 99. Similarily for the 195's, that would be around 104. Given that I moved the ARG back a bit has me wondering. It is a slightly different ski and that has to be taken into account. I also didn't try to ski the ski in the way it was designed to pivot from the centre. So I will give the design a chance and mount at 104 per Keith's recomendations, which would be the same as 99 for a 185 and prettey much where the Armada mount was. I think having a longer length would give me more confidence in keeping my weight more centered and putting a little more pressure up front. I will report back as soon as I ski them. They are going to get Marker Dukes soon, but will have to wait for my shoulder dislocation to heal.
