great corn skiing in july!
hell yeah, it's all around with great tr's coming from across the west. the snowpack exceeds where we were at june of last year which was also a good late season. folks were out in droves last sunday at carson pass. we counted 13 riders, with more just over the ridge in the forestdale divide area. the word is out.

casey and i went to check out solstice couloir off mount dana near tioga pass
i had to be back @ work at 4 that night.
evidently where we parked on the county line they perform sacrifices to honor veterans. seems strange.

skier666 approaches the top. i had to turn around here since i was already a half hour past the time i had decided i needed to be off the snow by. getting the crampons off on a steep slope was a new task for me, and didn't go quickly.

skier666 was able to stay and finish the line and add on the slog to ellery bowl.

given that carson pass was a much better approach and better skiing, we went out there with a group of 5.
