Yeah we found a place inner richmond one block from the park. Sounds like not all that far from where you are. I'm still splitting time between San Fran and Santa Cruz, but might have to figure out a time to grab a brew. I'm still looking for a good place to drink a pint.

    Hey Court,

Glad you made it there OK. How did the big road trip go? I'll be keeping an eye out for a TR in case you post one. I've been doing fine, but busy. Staying in my apt for now since I signed a year lease but will try to move this summer if I can find something better that's not outrageously expensive. Best of luck out west. I'll probably be heading back to Davis for a week or so early to mid January, but not positive yet.

    Cheers, Nat

Yup, moved to D.C. Lost my job-o to my counterpart at Bear after the acquisition (2 months after I had been promoted. grrr.....).

However, got a new and better (think 30% raise + 2 year guarantee) job at FBR. Only problem was I had to move to D.C. So that's what I did. Got to do what you got to do today.

Hey Court...looks like I might be taking some professional courses at CIA up in Hyde Park in early Dec. Possibly looking to road ride, if the temps are O.K. I am not bringing a bike, can you think of possibilities to borrow/rent one (road) for a few days?
Also, looks like I will be in NYC the weekend of the 5-7th...wanna get together and eat somewhere?
My mom moved up to 80th and B-Way, so I will be up there.

I have a hard enough time thinking about tomorrow, let alone next year

So far no real plans, but with a daughter in college now things may be different as far a ski budgeting and available time goes. Camp at Whistler would be great, or maybe Gordy camp in yurp...one can dream.

St Anton is an outstanding place. Certainly one of the most beautiful and challenging places in all the world to ski. I only got to ski a little of it on a day trip there, but the weather was bad and a lot of the mountain got shut down. We spent a couple of hours just trying to get a bus back from one of the outlaying towns when lifts shut due to weather. If you have a chance to go, you won't be sorry.

Hope all is well in NYC, by the way, I have been on my bike a decent amount lately. It feels good to get some miles in, but I still don't have time to ride like I used.

    Cheers,

    Dave

it's a canon 30D with a Tamron 17-50 2.8 zoom. it didn't turn out as crisp as I would have liked...small flexible tripod and starting to rain, maybe too low an ISO, but I'm going to experiment there and nail it one day.

    thanks for the kind words.
