I'm not sure that the 4.0 is considered unreliable, but the 4.7 is know for being as reliable as a hammer. I don't think mpg is very different either.

I'd hold out for a 4.7l personally. The 4.0 is fine, the 4.7 is just, better.

In some states the plates stay with the car, but in the vast majority the plates are assigned to the owner. I've always pulled plates off of cars...
