  1. Oh shit, didn't see your reply for very long. Thanks for your impressions anyhow. I've ridden the Summit already last year, just wanted to know how it compareds with rockered boards.
It can't even compare with a good swallowtail on wide open faces, but that's what I got my Nitro PowPow for anyhow. I rode the Summit in the last inserts, that was really allright. I love the inserts all the way back (like on most Swlallows), on my Radair tanker 2m, I've added inserts at 4cm and at 8cm further to the back and today in about 2m fresh pow (couldn't get many turns as I had to hike up, where 2m pow do suck with snowshoes) but it seemed about alright. I had the feeling that 4 additional cm would hurt however....
For me the Summit was the best Pintail I ever rode, much better than Burtons or others I've had.

The currrent € slump means anyhow that I'll wait for now. I do assume the US dollar to fall substantially in a few months. I could have got the Mullet on Proform, therefore the cheap price. Thanks for telling me bout Tracy. The summit will still cost me a lot less then my favorite board for last season, the Powderequipment Type B (around 800-1000€, depending on how many adjustments you want (shape/material). It's a shame that Jester (the parent company of Powderquipment) doesn't make a production run but only sells them as customs, but hey, at 2.8kg and 190cm they are ligt as a feather, they don't want to Proform me however so I would have to spend about 4x what I spend on my other boards.

Oh yeah, I really like the Neversummer Summit. One of the best true pow boards I have used. I had Neversummer make a custom splitboard of the Summit for me. I couldn't be happier.

I haven't had a chance to demo the Snow Mullet. I might get to do that in November. Overall I think rocker will make you adjust how you turn more than a regular pintail like the Summit or Prior Kyhber. With rockers they turn just a bit differently and depending on the rocker like say the K2 gyrator you need to stay a bit more centered on the board or it will dump you. Rocker can make a board that is more oriented for park a better pow riding board, but I have found they can be a little bit less performance wise than a pow specific board. The K2 Gyrator is about the only rocker board that is really designed for pure pow riding and it does it well without a doubt.

As far as the Summit itself goes. It's not going to be quite as good as a swallowtail in the pow. It's close, and I have yet to do a side by side, but imo it's going to come up a bit short in float and speed. As far as maneuverability goes, the Summit is about the most nimble board I have ever ridden in the trees. It just wants to slash, yet it is stable when straightlining it. It's also more than adequate on hard pack and you can even ride it switch if the snow isn't deep. Keep in mind it has a huge setback, so you will be riding further back than on most boards even if you move your stance all the way up. It definitely pops up in the deep snow and I've never had any problems with it pearling under until the slopes get flat and I've lost my speed.

As I am unfamiliar with the Snowmullet I can't say yay or nay on how well it rides in pow. Lib Tech knocks some things out of the park and others, well I am not impressed.

I am surprised the Mullet would be cheaper to get than a Neversummer. Aren't both imported anyway? Must be some deal. You might try emailing Tracy(the owner) at Neversummer and letting him know your story on importing costs. They often have factory seconds (blems usually) that are great boards for less cost. You have to do a little smooth talking but they might hook you up.

I hope that helps you out. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
