  1. Good luck getting Blackops 118 for $500 anywhere in the states. Think they retail for $850 US and $950 CAN.

Have a great season too! Have only been a few hours on my Sender Free 110 this year and not on my Blackops 118 yet. Booo!! Haha

Thank you so much. Really appreciate the tip on Corbett’s. Gonna give my local shop a shot but if they don’t have it… Hope you have a great season. -Kent
  3. Mount the Blackops 118 close to the directional -3cm mark(I measure from the bump back as the lines can be off) if you’re around 200lbs or over. I’m at -2.5cm for my 175lbs on the BO 118 and it’s perfect. 160lb range, go -2cm or so.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Greg
  4. Even if it’s an early release, there won’t be deals on them more than MAYBE 10% if you’re lucky. The Blackops 118 is still available in low supply and there’s places selling it in Canada for around 30% off so $659 CAN/$510 US right now. I have a contact at Corbett’s/AsoGear in Canada who could match that price I’m sure(or better) and ship anywhere in North America for free. Much prefer the swamp graphics on the Blackops 118 anyway!

Call Chris at 1-800-603-8580 hit 2 then 24 to get his extension. Tell him Greg Kraus from London. Ontario sent you and he will treat you right! Send him TONS of business. Tell him the Blackops 118 are on sale currently at Lucky Ski Depot for $659 CAN and have stock to get a price match.

Thanks for the information on the Blackops / Sender Free 118. I’ve been on a SF 110 this year and loving it. Loving it so much that I want to replace my current Ranger 116 as my pow ski. But it’s been a low tide year so far so I’ve not been in a huge rush. Do you have a sense as to whether the SF 118 will get to retail this season like the 110 did last year? Just trying to figure out whether to pick up a BO now or just wait a couple weeks. Thanks much.

Awesome - thanks for the reply, Greg!!!
  7. The Koala is a little heavier than the Mana 2 but a similar flex pattern so it should be a bit more damp. The Mana 2 would still have a little more effective edge and a bit longer turn radius so should have a touch more grip and stability. The 21 CT 2.0 is the best of both worlds with the extra weight and damping but the Mana 2 is still the same great shape.

I’d say either the 103 or Mana 2 would be good choices so depends on what one you can get the best deal on!

    Hey!

Based on all your great posts I get the feeling you are a ski expert that might be able to help me out - if you have a few minutes of course! 😊

I’m down to deciding between the Faction Mana 2 (CT 2) and the DPS Koala 103. I love to rip groomers and moguls, pop off small features and this will be my low tide ski. I have the Moment Wildcat as my pow ski (I love it).

Based on all your write ups it sounds like the 2021 version of the Mana/CT2 would have been the best but I’m wondering if the current lighter version still holds up. I would also think about mounting it at either the “classic” line (-7CM) or the “progressive” line (-5CM) depending on your guidance.

Not sure if you know anything about the Koala 103 but thought I would ask anyway.

    Thanks!
