What is your skill level and avy knowledge like? I got an avy 1 about 4 years ago, but put in a good 30-60 days each season since then. My main partner and mentor back in Oregon is a guide so I've been able to learn a lot in the past few years. Hope that gives you a bit of an idea of where I'm at.
