How familiar you are with this area?
Do you know where Benton Crissing road is?
I was out there the other night looking for the Comet. There are plenty of places where the snow plows made wide spits along the road where you could pull in and camp got the night. I saw half a dozen other folks doing it. Its paved, hardly any traffic at night, super dark with great star watching. Also, if your willing to hike, hot springs are near by.
