No no, really- here she is, the best boat in the world, my cousin's boat. Anyone who owns a boat can relate- the best boat in the world is not your own.

My old AK ride (sold it two years ago and semi-retired from the commercial aspect. so it don't count at'all)...it literally was a "catching machine". Saw it cruising around in the background on some Discovery Channel show about Naknek River line fishing.
Now I just hang in the Watermaster, the Escalade (front green kayak looking thingy behind the two fat bastards drinking brew on the gravel bar), and the seldom used, but much loved Clacka.

Here's my slayer. Oh, and the best part for my friends, I don't fish. I just row and drink so if anyone is ever up for a SF Boise (aka the best fly spot unheard of), give me heads up and buy me some cold ones. Oh, you might have to pay Connie for the shuttle too.

Si, most people fish from the banks but you need a dorry (sp?) or raft to get into the canyon. That's where the goods are.

Yeah, we used to make the trek down from Ketchum and dodge snakes on the banks. Was tricky wading in some spots. I'd like to hit it with the drift boat now.

We should hook up an August maggot fish off down there. Connie could use the shuttle and bar business.

Thank you very much :) It was a lot of work but I loved every minute of it, this is my second boat I have built, I built a 16' clam skiff before it that I quickly outgrew. I am keeping that one for my boys when they get old enough.
The wooden kayak sounds like a blast! I just sold to a museum a Herreshoff kayak my dad built 30 years ago and never put into the water. Attached is a pic. to beautiful to get wet in my eyes, let everyone enjoy it on display. SP.....go for it you will love it!

Nice run. In the next picture does the right oar swing around and clock the better half? :D I always rigged the spare oar blades facing forward, is that your boat, or one of the rentals?
What a trip eh?? :D
Oh, and Spritely, several friends have built http://www.pygmyboats.com/ , with good luck. Great lines too.
