Pretty much business as usual for LCC then? Nothing particularly worth commenting on?

The world famous powder snow of Alta was something I arraived about two days too late for. The entire mountain had been tracked up, making for some very challenging conditions. I have been skiing since 1983, but today I felt like the biggest gaper on the planet. Every turn was a struggle, finding a good rhythym near impossible.
If this is :D you can keep your :D !

To ski this :D , you have to know where to look. Wednesday was a good example. The mountain was fairly tracked and the tourist were skiing the same crap over and over (I think it's the same at any mountain in the world). I skied for 3 hours and only hit :D the entire time.
Plakespear, wish I could have hooked with you, we would have gladly gotten you to some soft Alta goodness.

It was knee deep of the lightest fluffiest snow we've had in a while. Sun came out but it was still snowing...
Looks like Castle won't open until tomorrow. Backside was open and I'm assuming Ballroom is open, but I'm not sure. I was only there for an hour and a half, but it was sweet.

Yes, yes, yes...today was definitely good. First run down Loan Pine was incredible; most of it was thigh deep with drifts all the way down that just completely buried you. Good stuff. Lapped Wilcat for a while just amazed at how frickin light this snow was...absolutely amazing. Met up with shamrockpow for a Backside lap and a couple quickies at Supreme before I had to get to work. Tomorrow I will be at Wildcat before 9 because a couple of my buddies from Michigan are flying in tonight. They've never skied snow deeper than half-way up their boots, so they are in for a treat tomorrow. Can't frickin wait...:D

Yes, we'll be there tomorrow. One of the Coloraddy buddies I just skied with this week is flying here tonight to ski for a few days. We'll be doing the Alta/Bird combo thang tomorrow. See some of you on the slopes.
