Follow Along Todd Ligare On An Immersive FPV AK Spine Shredding Experience

TGR veteran Todd Ligare has established himself as one of the smoothest big mountain skiers in the game, and there is no better place to prove that than Valdez Alaska. Alaska has been the dream destination that draws snow junkies to make the pilgrimage to be humbled and try and draw their own lines in these legendary mountains. It's been one of the driving forces in Ligare's life as a skier.

His latest short film "Prototype" provides an immersive experience as the FPV drone footage draws the viewer in as if they're along for the ride with Todd as he fluidly schmears cold smoke along these majestic Alaskan spine lines. "It was the first time I had ever been out with an FPV drone and it was the first time pilot Kadison Pelletier had ever shot skiing," said Ligare. "Calling the film Prototype is a nod to the experimental nature of filming editing this type of footage for the first time."

Filming in Alaska can often be a tricky proposition where the cliche remains true: the stars must align to score good snow, light, and a stable snowpack. Fellow Armada teammate Sammy Carlson and Ligare scored on a golden moment in Valdez and arrived on the tail end of a storm where they were able to hammer a few sessions before a wind event came through and did a number on the snow quality.

To score in Alaska, you must be present to win.
