Falling Bear Lands On Police Cruiser, Sets It On Fire

It’s important to be bear aware. There are black bears and grizzly bears and if you’re lucky there might be panda bears. A Humboldt County Sheriff recently discovered a new type of bear: falling bear. While responding to a call of a drug overdose, a sheriff's police cruiser was struck by a falling bear. The impact destroyed the windshield, causing the cruiser to drive into an embankment and then roll over, which set it on fire. The fire started from the car then spread to the surrounding area, causing a small forest fire which was contained to 2,000 sq meters.

Everyone was fine! Even the bear. Somehow.

However, one can’t help but speculate what caused a typical run of the mill bear to decide it wanted to become a falling bear. We will likely never know, but one thing is for certain, we will keep our eyes peeled for falling bears from now on.
