Faction and Commencal Join Forces On New Ski Line

Yup, you read that headline right. Faction Skis and Andorran bike brand Commencal Bicycles have teamed up for a special run of planks aimed at the all-mountain shredder who wants it all. At this point, we all know that Faction makes ripping skis, and that Commencal makes some of the fastest bikes on the market, so we see this partnership going places.

In Commencal’s words:

“Before we start, let’s make one thing clear... We are a bike brand through and through! But we also live in the mountains and when we can’t ride bikes all winter because of the snow, we use them for another adrenalin filled sport. What better way to honour this way of life and compliment our range of bikes with a choice of skis! The COMMENCAL x FACTION Friendship is born.”

There are two skis in the lineup, the Supreme and the Meta (yes, like the bikes). At 105mm underfoot and only available in 182cm and 186cm sizes, the stiff and very directional Supreme is clearly aimed at the aggressive big-mountain rider. On the other hand, the Meta looks to be a much more versatile 104mm underfoot ski with a more forgiving flex. These would be at home both ripping inbounds laps and on the skintrack.
