Event: Daron Rahlves’ Banzai Tour Visits Kirkwood This Weekend

Kirkwood, California - It’s all systems go as we countdown the last couple of days until the Rahlves Banzai Tour hits Kirkwood this weekend!

This skier/boarder cross meets big mountain meets downhill dash is sure to provide plenty of action for competitors and spectators alike and is the only event of its kind in North America.

Thanks to the 18 inches of fresh snow that fell last weekend, the course – which starts on the buttress off Chair 10 and winds down through Eagle Bowl – is in better shape than we anticipated.  However, variable conditions will make this race as much about strategy as pure guts and determination. 

For those game to tackle the Eagle Bowl Banzai course, online registration is open until 8:00am on Saturday morning via the official tour website.  Competitors can also sign up in person on Saturday morning until 9:30am or until the maximum 125 competitors is reached.
