Karl Fostvedt shows Eric Pollard his stomping grounds

When Karl Fostvedt got a call from Eric Pollard asking to show him around the Idaho backcountry, he was stoked to show off his old stomping grounds. The two gassed up their sleds and headed out to build some jumps and play around in the deep powder around Sun Valley.

Karl grew up skiing Sun Valley, but was forced to head into the backcountry to build jumps and features because the mountain did not have a terrain park and “discouraged jumping.” The windlips and cliffs in the area make for a beautiful natural playground, and the two take full advantage of it.
