Elixir: The Powerful Story of Nick Geddes’ Battle With Cancer

Elixir is short film about enduro rider Nick Geddes’ battle with leukemia nearly four years ago. After taking a hard fall during a race in California in 2010 Nick’s heart rate remained unusually high. As he was rushed to the hospital he recalls staring at the setting sun out of the back of the ambulance, wondering if it would be his last. Later that day emergency room doctors diagnosed Nick with leukemia. Immediately Nick went through intense chemotherapy and bone marrow transplants. What he shares during Elixir is an extremely powerful and moving narration of this fight and recovery. Director Leo Zuckerman does an incredible job with both capturing the raw emotion alongside beautiful bike cinematography. Elixir is easily one of the most moving short films of the year.
