Okay, full disclosure, after spending a week in the Canary Islands I slowly became obsessed with the place. I can’t think of any better place to ride a mountain bike, and the riding season is now in full swing. Spanish rider David Cachon seems to agree, so much so that he brought his bike to the top of Teide, the 12,000 foot volcanic summit of the main island, Tenerife. Cachon is a trials master, evident in how he dances his bike down the slopes of the mountain and through the tiny villages on the coast.
