Sunglass Company Makes Ad of the Year?

Nailing an ad is apparently not that easy; they're inherently way too cheesy, or just so incredibly boring you'd rather update your resume, eat rice cakes, or hear someone rattle on about their dreams.

But then Costa Sunglasses went and did the unthinkable: the company commissioned a story that not only promotes its product, but inspires adventure.

The Leafcutter is about an ant that breaks away from the farm, opting to surf versus eat his leaf, and while this moving story may seem irrelevant to sunglasses, Costa uses it to attract potential buyers. They're pulling the old emotion card.

It might be because I have approximately two nickels and a dime to my name, but I'm all about Costa's message to make your life rich. I'm going with the ant; I'm exploring. And maybe I'll bring my accountant along.

Don't just cut leaves. See what's out there.
