Cody Townsend Returns For Redemption On Alaska’s The Sphinx

Back in 2019, Cody Townsend got humbled on Alaskan mega-classic called the Sphinx. It’s real Alaskan steep skiing – upwards of 50 degrees over 1500 feet. This year, Cody and Bjarne sent it up to Cordova’s Points North Heli to link up with Nick Russell for an attempt at redemption. This time, the crew took a ride in from a heli before climbing straight up the gut of the beast. Will lessons learned from years past, and a whole lot of additional experience climbing steep exposed routes like this give Cody and his friends the edge they need to make it happen?
