This Chinese Downhill Mountain Bike Race in NZ is Wild

Mass start downhills used to be a huge part of the racing scene, with riders literally running as a pack to their bikes in full body armor and helmets. The somewhat chaotic style has made a comeback in recent years with events like France’s Megavalanche and smaller grassroots events like this one in New Zealand. Pro riders Sam Reynolds and Ben Deakin filmed some of the carnage that went down on a Kiwi mountainside a few days ago.
