Cham Lines Season 1 Episode 4: Couloir Vallençant
Aurelien Ducroz is a badass. The two-time Freeride World Tour Champion and multiple winner of the Verbier Extreme competition just kicked off a new series dedicated to his exploits, Cham Lines. No-fall lines, insane couloirs, and daunting approaches are standard ingredients in each episode—reinforcing everything you’ve heard about Chamonix.
For this episode, Chamonix mountain guide and freeride legend Stéphane Dan—a.k.a. Fanfan—joins Ducroz to ski an iconic line: the Vallençant Couloir. And although Ducroz had studied this line from his window for years, the episode captures his first attempt to drop the couloir.
