Casey Brown’s Dark Horse Event is All That and More

For Casey Brown, it’s all about giving the younger riders a chance to progress and be seen in women’s freeride. “To bring the event to a bunch of my friends and young girls that are coming up in the sport, I think that’s just inspiring,” Brown stated. The event is four days of a brand new jumpline in Brown’s hometown of Revelstoke, British Columbia, and the youngins hitting the course made it clear that they could not be more stoked about it. The interactions between the younger girls and the veterans allow for an event where every rider is helping the others progress in some way. “It’s the environment that you’re in - being around all these other girls that are also shredders and we’re all capable, it’s really cool seeing once someone unlocks it, then it’s unlocked for all of us”, said rider Christina Chappetta.
