Carson Storch’s Red Bull Rampage Rig Features Benchetler’s Psychedelic Art

Freeride mountain bike veteran Carson Storch's custom Red Bull Rampage bike features a psychedelic art wrap by skier and artist Chris Benchetler, highlighting the convergence of action sports cultures.

The world of action sports is constantly pushing boundaries. Now, we are seeing a beautiful convergence of mountain cultures. Veteran freeride mountain biker Carson Storch is Red Bull Rampage ready. Storch's rig is turning heads for more than just its big-mountain capability. His custom Propain Rage frame is wrapped in psychedelic, Grateful Dead-inspired artwork created by none other than ski icon, Chris Benchetler.

A Fusion of Freeride Icons

Benchetler is known for his signature style both on snow and in his art. His vibrant, colorful art is famously featured on his pro model skis, the Bent Chetler. The graphic on Storch’s Rampage bike is actually very similar to the design for the 2026 Bent Chetler 110s. This collaboration isn't just about a cool aesthetic; it’s a powerful statement about the interconnectedness of action sports and the artists who define them.

This incredible art piece on Storch’s bike comes to life via a protective film by Ride Wrap. Furthermore, it promotes Benchetler's new film, Mountains of the Moon. The film, similar in concept to Benchetler's Fire on the Mountain(2019), illuminates action sports with colorful LEDs, set to the music of the Grateful Dead. The bike, therefore, acts as a rolling billboard for this massive project, featuring mountain biking, skiing, surfing, and climbing.

The Red Bull Rampage Stage

Red Bull Rampage is the premier stage for freeride mountain biking, known for its terrifying exposure and massive features. Storch, an accomplished veteran with a podium finish and a "Best Trick" award to his name, is tackling the 2016/2021 site for his eleventh year. It is safe to say that this venue holds both the high of a podium and the low of a broken collarbone for him.

Now, Storch is looking to sculpt his line for finals day. As he gears up to drop into the challenging terrain of Virgin, Utah, his bike is a symbol of a shared mountain ethos. The partnership is another example of how seamlessly the worlds of skiing and mountain biking are becoming intertwined. After all, both involve a deep respect for the mountain and a drive to push personal limits.
