Carlo Traversi Goes Big on a 5.15a

Sport climbing is a true test of the human body – holding on to the tiniest of holds, stretching your body into impossible positions, and holding it all while dozens of feet off the ground. Black Diamond athlete Carlo Traversi knows that game all too well, and his quest for finding the perfect line has turned into a lifelong search. He’s been looking for that perfect climb for most of his career, and he might have found a strong contender for that title in his latest send of one of the hardest climbs in North America - Empath (5.15a). It’s a pitch full of some incredibly unique climbing – including granite tufas, crack climbing, and a committing top-out move.
